How to pay international tuition fees

Each international student is expected to make a minimum deposit payment before requesting your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies) document, that is required to apply for your student visa.

Depending on your nationality, the minimum pre-CAS deposit amount may vary based on specific conditions. Please read the following carefully to understand the how much you are required to pay.

For countries listed under the Differential Evidence Requirement

Students of some nationalities will need to pay a minimum of £4,000 as a pre-CAS deposit after receiving their offer. For the full list of countries listed under the ‘Differential Evidence Requirement’, please visit the

For countries not listed under the Differential Evidence Requirement

Students of nationalities that are not listed in the UKVI’s ‘Differential Evidence Requirement’ are required to make a minimum of 50% of their net tuition fee as a pre-CAS deposit payment.

Your net tuition fee is calculated by subtracting any scholarship amount that you are eligible for from your overall tuition fee for the first year of your studies. You will need to make a minimum of 50% of this net amount to request your CAS document.

Nationals of countries that are required to undergo a credibility assessment

Students of the following nationalities must undergo and pass a credibility assessment as part of their application: these are: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Nepal, Ghana, Libya and Iran.

After receiving your offer, you may be required to make a minimum refundable deposit prior to entering the credibility assessment.  This amount will be refunded in full within 8 weeks if you fail the assessment and you cannot proceed further in your application. However, if you pass the assessment you will then be able to proceed towards the CAS stage.

Pre-CAS deposit for students of these nationalities slightly vary depending on which part of the country you are from.

Pakistan

  • All students will need to pay at least £10,000
  • Except for students from Mandibhaudin, KPK (Mardan, Banu, Buner, FATA), Peshawar, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Bhimber, Bagh, Rawalakot/Poonch), Haveli, Neelum, Hattian Bala, Sudhanoti /Pallandri), you will need to pay the full net tuition fees

Bangladesh

  • All students will need to pay at least £10,000
  • Except for students from Sylhet, you will need to pay the full net tuition fees

Nepal

  • All students will need to pay at least £10,000

India

  • All students from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and any student using Medium of Instruction (MOI) from any state of India for admission will need to pay at least £10,000
  • Students from other states of India, and those who are able to provide any of the accepted English Language Tests at ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ, can pay a minimum of 50% of net tuition fee

Pay online

You will need your student reference number which will be allocated once your application has been received at ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ. It generally takes two working days to reach the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ account.

Pay by bank transfer – Flywire

Flywire bank transfers enable secure payments from over 240 countries and territories in over 140 currencies. There are a range of payment options tailored to your home country including bank transfers, debit/credit cards and e-wallets such as PayPal and Alipay.

Please note that bank transfers and bank draft payments may take up to five business days to reach the university bank account, online payments may take up to two business days. Please ensure you retain proof of the date and full amount of payment. You will need to plan your tuition fee payment in such a way that your payment reaches the university before the payment deadlines, bearing in mind any local bank holidays in your country or in the UK. Always ensure to add your student ID in the reference, otherwise it might cause extreme delays in identifying your payment, potentially causing you to not proceed with application on time.

International tuition fee policy and instalment plan

In some cases, you may be eligible for a higher tuition fee discount if you choose to pay the full net tuition fees before requesting CAS. If not, you can still proceed with your visa application if you have made the minimum required pre-CAS payment based on your nationality as mentioned above.

Those who are permitted to make a minimum pre-CAS payment of £4,000 must still pay at least 50% of tuition fee before the point of enrolment. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to enrol.

For example, Chinese students listed under the ‘Differential Evidence Requirement’ are required to pay at least £4,000 before CAS, however, by the time of enrolment, you must have paid at least 50% of the net tuition fees.

The remaining tuition fees can be paid in two instalments as below:

  • 1st instalment deadline:  November 2026
  • 2nd instalment deadline: January 2027

During your face-to-face registration, you will be asked to set up a payment plan, whether choosing to pay through a debit or credit card, manually or through a bank transfer.

Tuition fee payment refunds

Please note the following information relates only to applicants prior to enrolment. Once a student enrols, they are subject to university rules and regulations for enrolled students.

If circumstances beyond your control prevent you from travelling to the UK to study, you fail your English language test or if your visa application is refused for reasons other than maintenance (financial evidence), ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ will be pleased to refund your payment.

If you change your mind about coming to study at ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ, or you have used your visa to enter the UK, or you have started the course and subsequently leave, ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ reserves the right to retain £1,000 of your total tuition fee payment.

If you have provided false information, forged documents or intentionally provided any information in your visa application in any way which has resulted in a visa refusal, ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ reserves the right to retain £1000 of your total tuition fee payment.

¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ also reserves the right to retain £1,000 of your tuition fee payment should you not join the course due to your visa application being refused on the grounds of not meeting the maintenance requirements under Tier 4 of the points-based system.

Please check very carefully that you meet the before making your visa application. Where you have your visa refused on the grounds of maintenance, and are issued with a new CAS to make a second visa application, which is then successful, ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ will not deduct the £1,000 from fees paid as a result of the original visa refusal.

¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ reserves the right not to issue a new CAS to any student who has already been refused a visa, where ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ deems the second application is unlikely to be successful or the visa application is unlikely to be processed in time for the student to join the course.

To obtain a refund, please complete our Deposit Refund Form stating your case and providing evidence (e.g notification of a visa refusal). If you have not used your CAS to apply for your visa at the point of requesting your refund, your CAS with ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ will be cancelled before your refund is processed. When requesting a refund, please provide your full bank details and your student reference number.
