Personal profile

I joined ¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ in August 2018 and have a taught on a range of English and Modern Languages programmes both here and at other Higher Education Institutions around the Midlands, including Coventry University, Warwick University and The University of Birmingham. I manage the #¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ Global Languages Programme and lead the With Languages degree programme. I am also Programme Leader for the Pre-sessional English Language courses within the Centre for English Language Learning (CELL). I collaborate closely with colleagues from ¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ China and regularly support colleagues across China as well as at our partner universities by undertaking recruitment and marketing visits, teacher training work and Transnational Education English language teaching.

I teach English for Academic Success (in -sessional) and embedded English as part of the MSc in Sport and Cultural Event Management programme.

I am also a member of the School Leadership team for The School of Creative Industries and Culture, leading on our School's EDI strategy.

I am the Authorised Officer for the Faculty of Technology, Arts and Culture.

I sit on the CELL Quality Improvement Committee and Management Board. I also sit on the TAC Faculty EDI Committee and the Confucius Institute Management Board.

I am Chair of ¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ’s Shadow Academic Board, an advisory forum running in parallel with the main Academic Board, providing a platform to influence academic policy, with a broader range of voices feeding into decision making.
